Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
Description
On a vertical rectangular embroidered item arched outwardly at top and bottom consisting of the background divided diagonally crossed, from upper left to lower right and upper right to lower left and horizontally into six parts, alternating red and white, surmounted in the middle by a gold compass rose; all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border. Overall dimensions are 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in width and 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in length.
Symbolism
The compass rose suggests the command and control aspect of the Group. The six divisions of the background denote the unit’s mission structure – provide/manage security, internal terrain management, administrative and logistical support, base operations, and movement control.

Distinctive Unit Insignia
Description
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height overall consisting of a white background displaying a gold compass rose between the braces of three red inverted chevrons interlaced; all encircled by a blue scroll, tripartite on the sides and at the top and inscribed “VICTORY, VICTORY, VICTORY” in gold.
Symbolism
The compass rose suggests the command and control aspect of the unit and illustrates the location of the Group in Minnesota, the North Star State. The interlaced inverted chevrons denote the firm structure for the unit’s mission of operating bases or base camps, also alluding to the motto “Victory, Victory, Victory.”
