Symbolism
Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The vulture emblem is symbolic of the unit’s historical affiliation to the 455th Bombardment Group, similar to the vulture on these emblems, it sheds three droplets of perspiration representing determination, grasps lightning bolts symbolizing the communications realm and are indicative of electromagnetic spectrum in which the communicator carries out the mission.
