Description

On a disc Azure, an American bald eagle volant Proper, grasping in dexter claw a lightning bolt bendwise sinister Or, and in sinister claw a key bendwise wards to base.  Issuing from dexter base three contrails reflexed and terminating in as many stylized flight symbols ascending to sinister in bend Gules, all within a narrow border Red.

Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Red border and inscribed “WHENEVER WHEREVER” in Red letters.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Red border and inscribed "445TH LOGISTICS READINESS SQ" in Red letters.



Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors.  Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations.  Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel.  The eagle in flight serves as our nation’s symbol and the aerospace mission.  The lightning bolt represents the transportation mission and the speed of mission accomplishment.  The key alludes to the supply mission and the unit’s commitment to mission success.  The three flight symbols refer to building on the past, present success and future accomplishment.  All is encompassed by the unit motto, “Whenever Wherever."
