Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors.  Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations.  Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel.  The globe stands for world class service and the focus of keeping personnel “ready to deploy” worldwide.  The castle depicts the scope of the unit’s activities throughout the base, keeping personnel “ready at home.”  Finally, the lightning bolt symbolizes the quick, efficient and energetic customer service provided by unit members.  All elements express the motto, “Commitment, Unity, Teamwork.”
