Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors.  Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations.  Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel.  The stars represent the three elements of project management:  cost, schedule and content.  The red ribbon transforming into an aerospace vehicle represents tying together the three elements of project management into a seamless process to develop and test dominant air and space capabilities.
