Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors.  Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations.  Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel.  The statistical X-Y axis and data transmission link in the form of a lightning bolt are engineering symbols which represent research, development and test support of Air Force acquisition programs.  The stylized aircraft with thrust tail is emblematic of the parent 412th Test Wing which represents the integration of support for test flight, between the Range Squadron and the 412th Test Wing. The Latin motto, “FIDELIS MISSIONI,” translates to “FAITHFUL TO THE MISSION” in English.
