Symbolism
Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The green base signifies the terrain of California where the unit practices its trade of maintenance. The yellow cross arrangement of wrench and sword symbolizes, as does the motto, the unit's mission as "Warriors and Craftsmen." The gray stylized aircraft represents the wisdom and maturity of the crew as they maintain the Squadron's aircraft in a high state of readiness.
