Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
A shield shaped item with scroll attached below, 3 5/8 inches in height and 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width overall at its widest point, consisting of a shield divided vertically into two halves, black to the dexter and red to the sinister surmounted by a white vertical stripe, on a green chief fimbriated yellow a white disc bearing a white and yellow compass, the shield within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border; and attached below the shield a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border and inscribed “CHURCHILL” in black letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.

Symbolism
The upper portion of the insignia represents the school district. The bottom is divided into thirds to illustrate Churchill’s school colors, black, white and red.

he shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 24 June 1969 currently amended to include an updated manufactured drawing on 11 April 2014. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-1093)

Description
A Gold color metal enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned: per pale Sable and Glues a pale Argent on a chief Vert a plate charged with a compass or detailed of the third. Attached below the shield, a Gld scroll inscribed “CHURCHILL” in Black letters.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 10 January 1992.
