Scarlet (red), white and blue are the colors of our National flag and the Army Materiel Command, both of which the Battalion proudly serves. The division of the shield is adapted from the Army Materiel Command insignia. The eagle, scroll, quill, olive branch and arrows are taken from the Army Contracting Command insignia. Gold is emblematic of excellence and black alludes to determination. The globe represents worldwide capability and the gold star symbolizes the unit’s guide for ethics and moral compass. The motto translates to “ACQUIRE AND SUSTAIN” and represents mission support and force sustainment.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 25 July 2013.
