On a vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom, divided quarterly blue and red, and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border, a white silhouette of a Raider on horse rearing back, in his hand a sword which overlaps the attached top blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border inscribed “EAST CARTER” in red letters. Attached below the rectangle, a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border, inscribed “RAIDERS” in red letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.
Navy blue, white and red are the school colors. The school mascot is the Raiders. Navy blue (blue) signifies loyalty, a trait the cadets show in their allegiance to the country as well as to each other. White represents maturity, a quality the cadets have strive for in their personal as well as academic endeavors. Red denotes strength, an attribute the cadets possess to conquer any task that is presented to them. The Raider is symbolic of the southern history.
