Description

On a disc Azure, a winged dagger Argent, highlighted Silver Gray, wings addorsed Or, detailed Gules, flanked by two wrenches chevronwise Argent, highlighted of the third, in chief between the wings a mullet of four of the third, all fimbriated Sable, all within a narrow border Yellow.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed “592D SPECIAL OPS MAINT SQ” in Yellow letters.


Symbolism
Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The star symbolizes the four directions on a compass embodying the ideal that the unit’s mission is global. The winged dagger symbolizes the Special Operations mission of the unit and the dedication and skills of Squadron personnel.
