On a shield-shaped embroidered item with a rounded base, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Blue border blazoned as follows: "Or, a mullet Azure, surmounted by a sword point to chief, blade and guard Argent (Silver Gray), hilt and pommel Sable, overall a lion's head erased and in profile of the first." Attached above shield, a Yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Blue border inscribed "LORIS HS" in Blue letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 3/8 inches (6.03 cm) in width.
Royal blue and yellow are the school colors. Blue represents loyalty, a quality the cadets possess to each other and their country. Yellow (Or) conveys honor, an attribute the cadets uphold each day. White (silver gray) alludes to perfection, a quality the cadets set to achieve in everything they do. Black reflects determination, a trait the cadets' show when they are presented with any challenge or adversity they need to conquer. The star signifies the unity of the team. The sword stands for the willingness to defend what is right and just. The lion's head depicts personal courage and is the school mascot.
