A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Azure, a cross diminished: in the first quarter an open book, in the second quarter a column couped, in the third quarter a dexter and sinister hand clasped and in the fourth quarter a winged foot of Hermes toe to dexter base all Argent, on each side of the shield an arched Yellow lightning bolt. Attached above the shield, a Navy Blue scroll inscribed "RIDGE COMMUNITY" in Silver letters. Attached below the shield, a Navy Blue scroll inscribed "BOLTS" in Silver letters.

The lightning bolt is the school's mascot, which symbolizes great power and speed. The students identify with the lightning bolt in their pursuit of academic and athletic excellence. The open book symbolizes education, the column signifies courage and strength, the clasping of the hands represents friendship and the winged foot of Hermes identifies the athletic programs.
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized on 15 November 2011.
