ShieldThe shield is blue for Infantry. The five wigwams represent the five civilized tribes, namely, the Choctaws, Cherokees, Creeks, Chickasaws, and Seminoles, in whose domain the Regiment was allocated in 1921.
CrestThe crest is that of the United States Army Reserve.
The coat of arms was originally approved for the 378th Infantry Regiment on 28 May 1927. It was redesignated for the 378th Regiment on 30 January 1962. The insignia was amended to revise the symbolism on 13 April 1970.
