Description/Blazon

On a disc Gules, a stylized contrail as a lightning bolt from dexter chief descending and arching to sinister chief terminating in a delta Argent, shadowed Gris, surmounted by a crow sinister wing displayed Sable, beak and eyes Or, overall in base four pyramids Azure, garnished of the fourth, all within a narrow border Black.

Attached above the disc, a Red scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "BATTLE IN THE BOX" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a Red scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "772ND TEST SQ" in Black letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The crow symbolizes the mascot of the Electronic Warfare community. The shrouding wing with lightning bolt emanating from it symbolizes the unit as the keepers of the nation's secrets in the electromagnetic environment under which tests are performed. The aerospace vehicle represents the typical friendly systems tested and simulated. The cones depict the way the radio frequency environment is controlled during the developmental testing of new technology.
