On a disc Azure, a dexter gauntlet Proper, grasping and plunging a dagger palewise point to base Argent (Silver Gray), blade detailed Sable, pommel and grip Gules, guard Or, surmounting a stylized explosion emitting from base of the fourth, edged of the last, all within a diminished border Black.

Attached below the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "683D ARMAMENT SYSTEMS SQ" in Black letters.


Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The gauntlet represents the unit's primary mission of defending our nation's forces. The fist form symbolizes the determination to enforce the primary mission. The sword in the vertical position signifies the precision and accuracy of the attack munition and the direction of the attack. The explosion reflects the power and lethality of the area attack munition.
