Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The dragon represents wise and courageous leadership. The cog wheel represents the unit's mission to develop, build, test and procure armament systems that provide warfighting capabilities. The wrench represents the unit's commitment to sustain and support the armament systems the Squadron fields. The motto, "EQUIP TO WIN," reflects the 308th Armament Systems Wing and the 308th Armament Systems Group mission statements: "Equip our warfighters with [weapons] to fight and win decisively."
