Description/Blazon

Celeste, a sword bendwise steeled Argent (Silver Gray) hilted, hafted and pommeled Or between in sinister chief a hurt bearing a mullet of the second throughout and charged at its center with a torteau. In dexter base a globe Azure, edged and gridlined White surmounted by a flight symbol in horizontal flight Yellow, all within a diminished bordure of the last.

Attached below the shield, a White scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "622D REGIONAL SUPPORT GROUP" in Blue letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The sword represents justice and honor. The star signifies the noble character as well as the proud heritage of the unit's members. The globe and flight symbol denote the Group's global airlift mission.
