Description/Blazon

On a disc Azure, above a sword bendwise point downward Proper hilted Or, surmounted by a lightning flash in saltire of the like, a torch Argent, winged of the second, enflamed Gules, detailed Yellow, entwined by a serpent Vert, eyed of the third, within three mullets White, one in chief and one in each flank, all within a narrow border Yellow.

Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "613TH CONTINGENCY RESPONSE SQ" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed " WE LEAD THE WAY" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The sword symbolizes force protection by means of security skills. The serpent around the torch is an adaptation of the traditional sign for medical skills. The three stars allude to the campaign streamers the unit derives from its lineage. The lightning flash represents the speed and accuracy with which the unit responds.
