The school colors are gold and black and the eagle is the school mascot. The eagle signifies the pride, strength, and loyalty of the cadets. The torch is a symbol of the academic enlightenment accomplished through education. Traditionally gold signifies the four virtues of nobleness, goodwill, vigor, and magnanimity while black represents constancy and determination; all qualities the cadets aspire to in their academic, athletic, and leadership endeavors.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 16 February 2011. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-934)
