Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The four radiating stars represent the major functional areas of the unit that are critical to the wing's mission. They are arranged in a cardinal formation to signify the dynamic scope of air and space operations. The synergistic efforts of Logistic Plans, Supply, Fuels and Vehicle Maintenance create the ability to present and sustain combat capable forces across all of the Services and the full range of military operations. Supply provides sustainment of weapons systems and Airmen to project combat airpower and homeland defense; fuels provides the lifeblood and power to weapons systems; vehicle maintenance guarantees the serviceability of ground mobile assets; and logistics plans integrate multiple disciplines that ensure synchronized and measured support to the warfighting requirements. These functional areas are embodied within the sum of the emblem to epitomize the cohesive team of logistics readiness which ensures the successful provision of agile combat support capability to the operational mission.
