Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The expanded wings and vertical propeller, arranged in a cross configuration, signify swiftness, protection and drive-crucial components required to restore aircraft to flight status. The flame is symbolic of the passionate commitment to the mission which is to provide timely overhaul and repair of critical aircraft components. The wrenches flex and swoop towards each other to represent camaraderie in the workplace. The wrenches also depict the expertise required to perform complex maintenance, repair and overhaul on several Air Force weapons systems.
