Description/Blazon

On a disc per bend Azure and Or, in chief three mullets Gules, in fess a winged dagger Argent and Sable, all within a narrow border Black.

Attached above the disc, a Silver Gray scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "IN OMNIA PARATUS" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a Silver Gray scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "563 OSS" in Black letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The stars are representative of the valor our rescue forces exhibit. The silver winged dagger symbolizes faith in God and country, the black grip for determination, the blade for rescue heritage with Air Force Special Operations.
