Description/Blazon

As a globe Azure gridlined Argent, in dexter chief a mountain lion head erased Proper, and in sinister base a dexter hand couped, apaume and vambraced bendwise sinister Proper grasping a sword point to base bendwise sinister Gray, grip Gules, pommel and hilt Or surmounting and enfiling one link of an annulet of chain of the fourth, all within a diminished border Yellow.

Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "514TH MISSION SUPPORT SQ" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "SUPPORTING
OUR BEST" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The globe denotes the Squadron's worldwide support of its parent wing. The mountain lion suggests the spirit of fierce determination demonstrated by unit members in supporting the wing mission. The armored hand clutching a sword symbolizes a proud history of providing mission support in times of peace and war. The chain suggests all personnel joined in function tasks to assure mission accomplishment.
