Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The globe alludes to the unit's presence in the world at large. The two flight symbols represent the 514th's dual airlift and refueling missions. The four stars denote the excellence in operations, maintenance, mission support and medical functions of the global air mobility missions.
