Description/Blazon

On a disc Azure, an eagle stooping Sable, head, tail and details Argent eyed of the second, clutching a curled parchment in dexter base bendwise of the third detailed of the second, charged with a triangle of the like voided by a triangle reversed above three scripted lines of the last, all within a diminished border Gules.

Attached above the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Scarlet border and inscribed "509TH CONTRACTING SQ" in Scarlet letters.

Attached below the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Scarlet border and inscribed "ADEPIO PRO MISSIONEM" in Scarlet letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The eagle and parchment paper represent the contingency mission of contracting. The triangle is symbolic of commodities and services.
