Description/Blazon

On a disc per fess Sable and Azure, a winged lion affronté lunging in perspective, wings elevated Or, detailed of the first, mouth and eyes Gules, front claws surrounding a faceted diamond Argent, detailed and edged of the first, in chief a mullet of the third radiating three White lightning flashes chevronwise, all within a narrow border Yellow.

Attached above the disc, a Black scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "TRAIN INNOVATE COMMUNICATE" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Black scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "505TH COMMUNICATIONS SQ" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The winged lion alludes to the Squadron's theatre of operations, both land and air. The star denotes the Air Force, while the lightning flashes symbolize communications.
