Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a white vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, a Southern gentleman figure in scarlet suit and hat, hair, beard, moustache and shirt white detailed black. Attached above the rectangle a white arched scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "HARRISON" in scarlet letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. Attached below the rectangle a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "CENTRAL" in scarlet letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 7/16 inches (6.19 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Red, black and white are the school colors. The Southern gentleman is the school's mascot.

Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A silver colored metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height overall consisting of a scarlet rectangle with a silver saltire charged with nine scarlet stars. Attached below the rectangle scarlet scroll doubled silver and inscribed "RED REBELS" in silver letters.

Symbolism
Red and white (silver) are the school colors. The device reminiscent of the State Flag of Mississippi, alludes to the Confederate battle flag and reflects the tradition of military training in the state.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 22 December 1989.
