Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The background displays the National colors to which the unit is fully committed. The globe indicates the unit's worldwide capabilities, and the wings display the swiftness of its action. The knight chess piece in an enhanced position shows the Squadron's support of any strategic move made in the defense of our nation.
