Description/Blazon

On a disc Argent, a terrestrial globe issuing from base Proper, supporting a panther passant Proper, garnished Silver Gray. Issuing from sinister base a dexter gauntlet of the second, emitting three lightning flashes arcing toward the horizon of the globe Or, all within a narrow border Blue.

Attached above the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Blue border and inscribed "RED TAIL CONNECTION" in Blue letters.

Attached below the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Blue border and inscribed "332D EXPEDITIONARY COMM SQ" in Blue letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The panther represents the "Tuskegee Airmen" heritage of the 332d Air Expeditionary Wing. The globe represents the span of command, control, communications, computer and intelligence. The mailed (gauntlet) fist represents Air Force communicators who provide command and control of aerospace forces. The electronic flashes represent all forms of aerospace communications through which control of aerospace forces are provided. The unit's motto is "Red Tail Connection," which honors the 332d Fighter Group, affectionately known as the "Red Tails." The motto represents the unit's capability to connect combat air power, anytime, anywhere.
