Description/Blazon

Throughout a terrestrial globe Celeste, land masses Vert, charged with a pole star (the symbol of NATO), counter-changed Argent and Azure overall a cheetah salient, inverted Proper, all within a narrow border Black.

Attached above the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "TO DARE MIGHTY THINGS" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "86TH AIR MOBILITY SQ" in Black letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The globe is for the worldwide deployment of the unit. The NATO symbol represents the multi-national partnership of the unit. The cheetah refers to the speed of the unit to deploy and deliver cargo and passengers worldwide.
