Symbolism

Blue and yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The gear wheel indicates the pride in the maintenance mission. The three lightning flashes signify the three components the unit provides in support of that mission. The convergence of those lightning flashes promotes the "one team, one focus" attitude of the unit.
