Description/Blazon

On a disc Azure, issuant from base a demi-globe land masses Vert, oceans Celeste, surmounted by a Rod of Aesculapius, rod Sable, snake Or, charged with a letter "D" of the like, arrayed against the background the constellation Ursa Major and the star Polaris in chief all Yellow; all within a narrow border Yellow.

Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "ORAL HEALTH ALLIES" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "3RD DENTAL SQ" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The Northern Hemisphere and the State of Alaska are the region and local of the unit. The Rod of Aesculapius is a medical symbol and the letter "D" indicates the medical field of dentistry. The constellation Ursa Major and the star Polaris also are symbols for the region and state.
