Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The crossed swords indicate the unit's mission to receive, store, maintain and control munitions. The positioning of the centurion helmets describes the protection of Level 1 assets and recalls the historical traditions of the unit. The wings are taken from the flag of United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE), which the unit supports.
