Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The gridlined globe and background signifies the land, sea and space mediums of operation for the three combined Armed Services. The flight path of the eagle encircling the globe represents the unit's global capacity to move materiel and personnel around the world. The three feathers comprising the eagle's body depict the mobile mission: providing the Right Quantity, in the Right Place, at the Right Time and the core values of Integrity First, Service before Self, and Excellence in All We Do. The purple coloring of the middle stylized feather symbolizes the Joint service and synergy of the Army, Air Force and Navy within Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL). The three lightning bolts emitting from the eagle's claw symbolize power, precision point lightning speed, as well as the critical worth and need of logistics.
