Description/Blazon

On a disc Sable, a terrestrial globe Proper, entoured by a chain of three lightning bolts orbiting displaying a satellite in sinister chief and terminating in a flight symbol at fess point descending bendwise sinister all Or; all within a narrow Black border.

Attached above the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "CONNECTING THE WARFIGHTER" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "639TH ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS SQ" in Black letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The lightning bolts and flight symbol terminating on the globe over the United States symbolize the ground asset. The flight symbol represents the air power. The satellite rotating around the globe symbolizes space. The lightning bolts terminating in a flight symbol encircling the globe from the satellite focused on the ground asset represents the communication link among the three and the satellite's orbit around the globe. The unit motto is "CONNECTING THE WARFIGHTER."
