Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The ancient double-bladed war axe represents the Squadron's two-fold mission of inspection and repair. This ancient weapon with its blood-red blades gives evidence that this Squadron fights for its mission. The Latin motto, "ARMA EXACUIMUS," translates to "WE KEEP THE WEAPON SHARP," in English.
