Gules, in base a hurt fimbriated Argent, between a pair of wings elevated and displayed Silver Gray, charged with three mullets White, in the configuration of the Tennessee State flag, a chief enhanced Azure, supported by a fillet also White; all within a diminished bordure Or.

Attached below the shield, a White scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "HQ TENNESSEE ANG" in Blue letters.


Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The emblem contains the representation of the Tennessee State flag. The three white stars represent the three grand divisions of the state. The stars form a trinity together in one circle of blue, edged in white. The wings symbolize the flight mission of the three flying wings supported by the headquarters.
