A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 3/8 inches (3.49 cm) in height overall, consisting of a shield blazoned: Tenné, a mullet of four between a parchment surmounted by a quill bendwise sinister in chief and a Lamp of Knowledge in base Or, arcing below the shield a Blue Scroll turned Gold and inscribed "STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE" in Gold letters. Resting atop the shield, a Gold crouching bearcat, its tail and dexter paw arcing to the scroll.
Blue and orange are the colors of the school. The shield is an adaption of the school coat of arms and reflects education through teaching, student academic discipline, and scholastic achievement. The bearcat stands for the school mascot.
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 5 June 1991.
