EXCELLENCE THROUGH KNOWLEDGE.
The torch symbolizes leadership, knowledge and the unit's training mission. The chevron denotes their support of all branches of the military. The wavy bars suggest the location of the unit in Lincoln, the capital and educational center of Nebraska, nestled within several springs and creeks which attracted the early settlers to the area.
The crest is that of the Nebraska Army National Guard.
The coat of arms was authorized on 24 Aug 1998.
