The shield is blue for Infantry. The gallant service in Cuba is represented by the blockhouse at El Caney and the royal palm from the coat of arms of that Republic.
The Regiment saw Indian service in the old frontier days and this is symbolized by the arrow of the crest. Likewise the Philippine campaigns are indicated by the bolo. The steadfastness of the Regiment is indicated by the iron gauntlet.
The coat of arms was originally approved for the 25th Infantry Regiment on 30 December 1921. It was redesignated for the 25th Armored Infantry Battalion on 11 May 1951.
