The winged dragon represents the power gained by the discovery of hidden truth, to include far off danger, put into a global perspective. The globe is symbolic of the worldwide mission of the Squadron, the Office of Special Investigations (OSI) and the Air Force. The torch is representative of the commitment of the unit and OSI to search for the truth in people’s words, actions and association. The Squadron’s motto, “Artem Inveniendi Veritatem,” translated as “The Art of Finding Truth, captures the essence of the unit’s mission.
