Description

On a disc Azure, between a lightning flash issuant from sinister chief bend sinisterwise Or, in dexter four mullets, one, two and one, Gules and in sinister a quill bend sinisterwise Argent, fimbriated Sable, all within a narrow border Red.

Attached above the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Red border and inscribed “PROCURING THE FUTURE” in Red letters.

Attached below the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Red border and inscribed “38TH CONTRACTING SQ” in Red letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The lightning flash signifies the elements of cyberspace--electronics and communications. The stars represent the elements within the Squadron and its ability to navigate procurement within the boundaries of law and regulations. The quill symbolizes the organization’s skill in the creation of enforceable legal documents and contracts.
