Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

On a red shield 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 inches (5/08 cm) in width, a sword, with a pair of wings issuing from the guard, all white.

The red background and sword represent the Army. The wings are symbolic of the Air Force representing the unitsí assignment.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 23 September 1952. (TIOH Dwg. No. A-1-207)
