Offices of the Under Secretaries of Defense

The flag was approved by the Secretary of Defense on 18 February 1959. The background is medium blue with a dark blue triangle starting in each corner of the base. The apex is in the vertical center of the flag between four white, five-pointed stars, two to hoist and two to fly. Centered on the flag is the device from the Department of Defense seal, in proper colors, with the wings of the eagle extending into the blue on each side. The fringe is white. Cord and tassels are medium blue and white.
