Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The eagle is a symbol of America, representing liberty. The unit is directly linked to this symbol by providing logistical support in defense of the Nation. The sword represents the Squadron's constant guard and the strength of the force. As logisticians, they provide the equipment in the fight for freedom and are thus, "AT THE TIP OF THE SWORD." The globe is a representation of the unit's world-wide logistical presence.
