Symbolism
Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The divided background signifies the around-the-clock mission of the Squadron. The gear is symbolic of all engineers and the technical aspects of their profession. The mountain range represents the engineer's ability to overcome insurmountable obstacles. The Latin motto, "SUPERBIMUS SERVIRE," translates to "We are Proud to Serve" in English.
