Description/Blazon

On a disc Azure a profiled bald eagle's head to dexter couped Argent, beaked and eyed Or, detailed Silver Gray and Sable, below an arc of five mullets of the second, all within a narrow border Yellow.

Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "GUARDIANS OF SPACE" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "50TH SECURITY FORCES SQ" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The eagle is symbolic of the background operations of the Squadron. Its yellow eye is ever watchful, ever vigilant, every ready to protect and defend our country's space assets. The five white stars above the eagle symbolize the dominion of space.
