Description/Blazon

On a disc Azure, a dexter mailed fist appaumé bendwise Silver Gray detailed Sable grasping the symbol for the smallest unit of discrete data in a computer, wireframe Or, torus of the second, all within a diminished border of the second.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Silver Gray border and inscribed "82D COMPUTER SYSTEMS SQ" in Silver Gray letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The wireframe with torus symbol represents the Squadron's function in software development and maintenance in support of its parent command. The mailed fist grasping the symbol denotes the quality products and services the unit provides to the combat forces to master combat computer technology.
