Description/Blazon

On a disk throughout a terrestrial globe Azure, landmasses Vert, a sine wave Or, overall a closed helmet Sable garnished Argent plumed Gules, all within a diminished border of the third.

Attached above the disc, a Black scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "338TH TRAINING SQ" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Black scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "DARK KNIGHTS" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The globe represents the worldwide mission of the Squadron. The sine wave denotes electronic wave signals, the unit's media in support of the aerospace expedition force. The knight symbolizes the Squadron's history as the vanguard/leader of excellence in military training.
